Question

Im Looking at purchasing either a quot LCD or plasma TV soon. Which one should I buy?

Answer

If you are going to buy a quot TV, LCD, or Liquid Crystal Display, is definetely the way to go. I believe that a good quot LCD, would be around the same price as a little larger Plasma screen. But there are downsides to both. brbrCONSbrbrLCD is more expensivebrLCD always has a small screenbrScreen sensitive to touchbrbrCONSbrbrPlasma has a problem called burnin. What happens in burnin is when a sitting image is left on a screen, the Plasma molecules begin to burn to the screen leaving a permanent mark. This can happen anywhere from an hour to hours depending on color and contrast settings on your monitor.brYou cannot turn a Plasma monitor horizontal due to the way the molecules are arranged and fitted, you risk severe damage to the screen when it is placed horizontal.brbrPROSbrbrPlasmas now have built in features to fight the effects of burnin.brPlasma is less expensive even with a larger screenbrPlasma screens have around ,, more colors than LCDbri and p resolutions are more common with Plasma monitorsbrPlasma screens usually carry a degree viewing angle.brbrPROSbrbrLCDs are not generally more reliable, but they will last longer. brSometimes good resolutions. Usually p or slightly higher.brNo burnin.brbrGENERALbrbrNever place an LCD or Plasma monitor near a fireplace, radiator, furnace, or any source of heat.brbrbrI hope this helps amp Good Luck on choosing your TV of best fit!
